This morning I woke reflecting on yesterday’s events and tenor.
What struck me most was the presence of creative expression — the speeches, the poetry, the songs, the flags on the mall, lights along the reflecting pool, more music, more poetry, the moments of silence. All poignantly missing from the last 4 years, and the balm needed to begin the healing of our souls and the soul of the nation.
